CHILDREN DESERVE BOTH PARENTS FOR THE HOLIDAYS

For separated or divorced parents, holiday visitation is often a problematic issue.   If the parents cannot agree on Christmas or New Years visits, applications can be made to the Courts for an order providing each parent with holiday time with their children.   While both parents cannot have Christmas Eve or Christmas Day and New Years Eve or New Years Day, even still, suitable arrangements can be made to divide the holidays.  

Hopefully, parents can put aside their own differences to allow their children to enjoy the holiday season.  Some helpful advice: plan scheduling ahead of time, be flexible about arrangements, be open to communicating with your ex, and let the children feel safe about expressing their own feelings.

More than anything, the children deserve to experience this wonderful time with each parent, nothing less.  Remember, they did not ask to be in this situation.
